Hello! I’m Lana, also known as Silv or “silvaroohub” online! I'm a digital illustrator, animator, and graphic designer based in Maryland.I work part-time as a graphic designer at my university, where I create content, film short-form promotional content, and create advertisements for the department.I am currently studying Information Technology with a minor in French. Outside of work and art, I enjoy sewing, making tasty drinks, and reading Warriors and Wings of Fire novels!

How to Commission

What tablet do you use to draw/animate?
✦ I use an iPad Mini and an Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) to draw with! It is quite convenient to carry around with me to work and university.

✦ When I'm at home, I will use my XP Pen 22 (Gen 2) tablet.
What software do you use to draw and animate? What do you edit with?
✦ Drawing: Clip Studio Paint EX, Procreate
✦ Animation: ToonSquid, Toon Boom Harmony 20
✦ For pixel art & pixel animations, I use Pixel Studio!
✦ CapCut and Adobe Premiere for all current edits!
How long have you been drawing?
✦ Ever since I was in second grade! I took drawing seriously when I got to 8th grade, and took digital art commissions during secondary school in 2021.
What mediums do you use?
✦ Most of the time, digital illustration! I work with traditional mediums as well, with pen and paper. Both mediums are fun to work with!
What is too complicated for you in a character design?
✦ To me, a complex design has ten or more colors, asymmetrical patterns, multiple "floating patterns" (spots, stripes, and freckles), multiple sets of limbs, and gradients!
Do you do art trades or free art?
✦ Unfortunately, I do not have enough time to complete art trades or requests. My first priority is working on paid commissions.
How does one learn how to draw?
✦ Lots of practice and using references! I suggest finding artists you like and seeing what you like in their art, whether it's the style, colors, or aesthetic - then you practice as much as you can! For animation specifically, pick up the book titled, The Animator's Survival Kit, by Richard Williams!
What things do you enjoy drawing the most? The least?
✦ I love drawing mine and other people's sonas and OCs! Something about bringing someone's character to life is so magical; which is why I continue my passion for art and animation! I think backgrounds are challenging (but fun)! I do not and will not draw anything NSFW, however.
Are you a furry?
✦ Short answer: Yes!

✦ Long answer: I would say so, yes! I became familiar with the furry fandom by watching YouTube videos back in 2019. Since then, I've gained more confidence in myself and feel like I can be myself! <3
What are Silv's pronouns and gender?
✦ My platinum fox fursona and mascot, Silv, is female and uses she/her pronouns! It's understandable if some people mistake her for a boy or something else - it actually happens to me in real life occasionally!
Are your DMs open/can we chat?
✦ If it's business/commission-related, yes absolutely! If it's a friendly conversation, then I could probably chat for a bit! Mutuals and close friends, yes absolutely! I will not respond to texts stating "Hey" and no further explanation.

  • Note: A color palette or moodboard is required at the very least! Be sure to include things like aesthetics, design preferences, etc!

General

  • I have a right to decline a commission, especially if it goes against my terms of service.

  • I may use the artwork to display as examples in my portfolio and online in social media galleries, unless stated otherwise.

  • Please do not use my art to train or edit it with AI (e.g. ChatGPT, Grok, etc.). This applies for past, present, and future artworks.

  • For most commissions, the turnaround time is estimated between 1 to 3 weeks, depending on the complexity of the commission. Clients will be notified of any major delays in turnaround time. Fully shaded illustrations, big reference sheets and packs of 10 stickers may take longer, about 1-3 months.

  • Clients may request that their commissioned artwork remain private and unposted upon commissioning me, or deleted/removed from my websites and connected medias at any time.

References & Changes

  • A digital, unshaded reference of the character is required! I will not accept AI-generated references, low-quality, or shaded references.

  • Work-in-Progress images (WIPs) are provided throughout the commission process via direct message or email. Clients will receive updates during the sketch, lineart, coloring, and final detail stages.

  • Complicated designs - additional limbs, wings, floating patterns, more than ten colors, etc. may add an extra fee.

  • If more changes need to be made after the first round of WIPs, I may charge a small fee unless I am at fault for missing something.

  • If any changes need to be made, please let me know! I am happy to work with you to make sure it is perfect and how you would like it to look.

  • When asking for edits, please feel free to draw over my work to clarify what you're asking for (e.g. redlining). Smaller edits and changes are allowed.

Other

  • Personal Use: Clients may freely use artwork they have commissioned from me for personal use, such as avatars, banners, prints and stickers for display or gifting, and sharing on social media with credit!

  • Commercial use: Clients may not to use the commissioned artwork for commercial use unless they have discussed with me either before or after commissioning me. This includes using the art for merchandise, such as printing the artwork as physical copies for sale.

  • Completion: Clients will receive the commissioned artwork as a high-resolution PNG sent via email or Discord. I will also include convenient alternate files (e.g., flat/unshaded versions for shaded art, and textless versions).

  • Please do not remove the "silvaroohub” watermark, as the signature is there to prevent art theft. Some commissions, such as stickers, will not have the watermark on the .png files, only the full layout.

Payment & Refunds

  • I only accept payment through PayPal, Ko-fi, and Stripe and all payments should be in USD (United States Dollars). For international clients, PayPal and Ko-fi will automatically handle the currency conversion for you.

  • All commissions must be paid 100% in full, unless a payment plan has been discussed before hand.

  • 100% refunds can be given at any time per the client's request if no work has been done on the image.

  • If a client issues a refund after I start working on the art, they can receive a partial refund (50%).

  • If the commission is finished before cancellation was requested, a refund will not be issued, as the client already has the final product. However, I am happy to make edits if the client is unsatisfied with the artwork.

  • In the case where a commission is cancelled, the client will always receive 100% of their payment back.

  • Forced charge-backs are a violation of the terms of service and will result in a client being banned from working with me again in the future.

Accepted Methods of Payment

For commissions, I will happily draw the following:

  • Anthro, feral, and human characters, fantasy humanoid, and object-heads; dragons, uncommon species, and mythical creatures

  • Fanart or fan OCs from existing franchises, such as Pokemon, MLP, Star Wars, and more

  • Minor cuts, bruises, trickles or small splatters of blood

  • Mecha & complex machinery, and armored characters

  • Pride-themed pieces: LGBTQIA+, neurodivergence, disability

  • Diverse body types: larger-bodied characters, skinny, muscular, unique body shapes and proportions

  • Disability and mobility aids, medical equipment; service animals or creatures; prosthetics and amputated limbs; scarring and disfigurements

For commissions, I will not draw the following:

  • NSFW: 18+ or adult themes, nudity, suggestive, or overtly fetishistic art

  • Hateful content: racism, homophobia, offensive humor, hateful or controversial political themes

  • Illegal content: Zoophilia, pedophilia, themes of abuse

  • Extreme gore: detailed viscera, exposed organs, candy gore, severe bodily harm, dismemberment, and realistic torture

  • Requests to trace or emulate another artist's style or copy character designs
